The nylon bristles are strong and sturdy, dislodging dirt in deep nooks and crannies. The Good Grips line features durable, nonslip flexible handles on every product. Ergonomically designed to fit the palm comfortably and softly, the pressure-absorbing processed rubber handle puts less tension on the hands, while providing an outstanding grip. Made from the same material as dishwasher gaskets are constructed of, the handles are slip-proof, wet or dry, as well as dishwasher-safe. Good Grips products are moderately priced and have won the Tylenol/Arthritis Foundation Design Award. --Laurie Notaro

Was good for about 2 months
By Oksana Mecklenburg
It was good for about two months. The bristles seems to be stiff at first, but that's my first vegetable brush so I did not have anything to compare with. It worked good from the beginning but bristles started to worn out very quick like and they become soft if you clean your vegetables under warm water. I was trying to use the brush very gentle just cleaning a few carrots and sometimes potato a day. I have a picture below what happened to OXO Good Grips Vegetable Brush after two months. That was a learning experience for me. Will look for a different one.

Cleaning veggies with ease and without pain
I purchased the OXO Good Grips Flexible Vegetable Brush because I have size-small hands and most brushes feel cumbersome when I hold them. Also, sometimes, I have pain when I bend my fingers, especially when gripping things. I have had this veggie brush for 6 months and treasure it! It fits perfectly in my palm and, best of all, no pain when using. I am able to clean carrots and potatoes with ease, AND the brush gets the veggies very clean. I have not tried it on mushrooms or used it for removing corn silk, however, if you find the bristles too firm for those jobs, try using a dry soft-bristle toothbrush or a damp paper towel. The OXO Good Grips Vegetable Brush is one of the best kitchen utensils I have purchased in a long time. I highly recommend it.
Note, in response to other reviews who state the bristles are too hard: please be aware there are a lot of OXO counterfeit products for sale. If the product you received differs from the majority of the reviews, or the quality seems suspect, you may have received a "knock-off." Genuine OXO products ALWAYS have the logo on the handle, regardless of the item. When in doubt, or if you're unhappy about your item, contact OXO directly. I have never been dissatisfied with a genuine OXO product.

best little scrubber out there!
By The General
FYI: the bristles are flexible not the handle itself.
it is made with soft rubber and is super easy to hold in your hand even when wet! It feels so comfortable, even for my wife who has arthritis in the hands. The bristles are firm enough to get the dirt off vegetables or potatoes, but not so firm that they damage the skins.
It is super easy to clean with a little soap and warm water. Best veggie scrubber i have found to date. Two years later and the little scrubber still looks brand new!
