All of the pages are transparent! How do you overlook or are not bothered by that!? Kind of hard to enjoy the story when the illustrations on the back of the page are showing through. I wish i could return this for a better quality product.

Paper Quality is Horrendous.
By Eden Connor
I was thrilled to buy my granddaughter her first Dr. Seuss books. She's three, and I was looking forward to reading them to her now, and watching her learn the words, so she could 'pretend' she was reading them along with me, as I did as a child, and ultimately, letting her read them to me.
But, what a major disappointment. The thin, cheap paper ruins the entire experience. When you can see through the page to the drawing on the reverse, the easily-distracted three year old is just...distracted.
I feel like these are overpriced for the quality.
The stories, the illustrations, are all the same beloved ones from my childhood, but the cutting of corners on paper and binding quality are upsetting. There's no way this set will last through one grandchild, much less two.
For shame. I feel like Dr. Seuss himself would be ashamed to have his name on these.
I've just opened a couple of them at random and taken pics to show you the bleed-through of the images and words on the reverse side of the page. It didn't matter which books I chose, all are this way. And I took these pics under lamplight. The effect is ever so much worse in daylight.

It's a box set...
To be perfectly honest, I was never a fan of Dr.Suess. Yes I have read all the glowing reviews and how people around the world feel he is brilliant. Will tell you what I find different from the books I usually go for for my kids.
Firstly, this book isn't very colourful. I must admit it doesn't sound right to judge a book by its colours but when it comes to young readers and as we start very early with our kids nowadays I always felt colour and illustrations play a vital role in children's books..
Secondly I didn't quite like the paper quality of these books.
Thirdly the story itself. I suppose It is a child's book, indulging in a broad spectrum of imagination. The cat in a hat comes to visit while the children's parents are not at home. Their pet fish in a bowl warns them not to let him in or let him stay and he does anyway. He balances on a ball and performs tricks.
This is a book set. A few books in this set. After reading it a few times, I must say the story grows on you. I liked the book with the tongue twisters from the start. It was funny reading it out loud. Even my kids had a good laugh!
In the end I would say I like these books. The stories grow on you and you begun to see why people love Dr.Suess and his books!
