This MH doll is AMAZING! She is the first to have cherry red hair, which has black streaks. Operetta is the Phantom of the Opera's daughter, so her motif is all about music. Total 1950's Rockabilly style. And her skin color is a very faint lavender; purple is a traditional color of the Phantom. Her houndstooth patterned shirt (a very popular style of that era) is purple. Her saddle shoes, which have spider webs on them and G cleff notes as the heels, are over classic white bobby socks. Her jewelry and cuffs of her sleeves are piano keys (in honor of dear old dad:) O's guitar is coffin-shaped with music note straps. Even her scarring (which is very realistically raised up) under her peek-a-boo mask is made of music notes! I could go on and on... have I mentioned her rad music note tatoos? I especially love her pet Daddy-O Longlegs named Memphis~ he has a pompadour greaser hair do, and an Elvis-like sneer as he combs his hair.

These dolls are so clever and well thought out in design. I can completely see why adults adore these dolls; I think I love them more than my daughter!

Beautiful Doll!

This doll is so beautiful! She has beautiful detailing on her face down to her tattoo on her arm. Love her little rockabilly style! My daughter squealed with excitement when I surprised her with this doll. I had been on the hunt for her at Walmart, Target and Toys R Us but every store we go to their MH section is completely wiped clean (even on the days they get new product in). I kept checking back on Amazon on a daily basis and Amazon came through like always and had this doll for $19.99 along with Nefera plus we got free shipping! Definitely worth the wait!

I will go ahead and start with the fact that I do not own this doll YET. I am an avid collector of Monster High Dolls and when I saw the price and the bad reputation this doll was getting simply because people are over pricing it I had to step in and give it a fair review. Every doll I have collected so far has been in meant condition. Some may say that I am crazy but I am a perfectionist and a savvy shopper and I LOATH over paying for things and in today's economy I'm sure most people do. Right now on Amazon by price gouging morons this doll is being sold for $62 and up when at Walmart.com ([...]walmart.com/ip/Monster-High-Operetta-Doll/19476606) she is a respectable $20.00 and I'm sure eventually at Toys R Us or Target for the same price. It is absurd to rate the quality and beauty of this doll based on the stupidity of others because it makes the bad reviewers no better then the ignorant sellers. My best advice is to be patient and wait for them to come to Wal-Mart or somewhere near.you Please look around because everyone earns their money now the hard way and you deserve to pay the best price. For those who read this review and think I am just rambling about stuff. Well here's how it goes down. Mattel sells dolls to certain parts of the world first. The so called geniuses who sell the dolls on Amazon and E-bay bought them for the regular price and for everyone who buys their product for very steep prices you now just lined their pockets with $40 extra dollars for your own personal lack of patients. I know this knowledge first hand. Be patient and get her in store. Just ask all the people who paid $70 for the Skull Shores Dolls just to see them in the store for $15 or $16. Shop around and please don't give this doll a bad rating for other peoples stupidity. It's not fair to the doll and it's creators to give it a bad review because the sellers act like jerks because they think they have something special. Wait for it and you can have the same something special for an affordable price.
